Mountain Goat Blood Orange IIPA

India Pale Ale from Mountain Goat — 7.5% ABV

In late 2016 we released a beer called Pulped Fiction IPA.

That bad motherf***er of a beer was dank, juicy and loaded with hops. Needless to say, it’s still one of our all-time favourite brews, so we didn’t have to think twice about bringing this one back for our 25th year.

Since this is such a special birthday, and we’re an excitable bunch of Goats, let’s just say we may have gotten a bit too excited when the time came to adding the hops…

25g/L of Citra and Mosaic went into the tank, resulting in a beer that can only be described as a supercharged. The hit of dank hop aromas is quickly followed by citrus from the blood orange juice, which flows from first sip to last with support from an unsurprisingly aggressive hop bitterness.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to go home and have a can of Blood Orange Double IPA.
